2005 The Chamber Music Connection, Inc., experiences a continued enrollment increase. Additions to our Associated Faculty of renowned coaches include Marjorie Bagley and Mick Carrera from Ohio University, Charles Wetherbee, Concertmaster of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and Seymour Fink, nationally recognized piano pedagogue. Two CMC ensembles, Trio Riendo and opus., advance to the semifinals of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The debut season of the Conservatory Series is greeted with great enthusiasm by the community. Longtime CMC corporate sponsor, David Gandee of gandee & associates, inc., is awarded the Greater Columbus Arts Council Business Arts Partnership Award for small business.
2004 The Chamber Music Connection, Inc., experiences tremendous growth, sponsoring 11 different programs with a total of 483 participants. The first Fischoff Competitors Recital is presented to excellent reviews by The Columbus Dispatch. The Conservatory Series Chamber Music Concert Series debuts in the fall, placing advanced pre-college honors students and CMC alumni pursuing music degrees together with invited local professional players including CMC faculty and guests.
2003 The Chamber Music Connection, Inc., places 3 ensembles in the Quarterfinals of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition—10% of the quarterfinalist field.
2002 The Chamber Music Connection, Inc., implements its Fellowship Program, enabling students interested in music careers to train under the guidance of mentors in administering and managing an arts organization.
2001 The Chamber Music Connection, Inc., marks its tenth season of chamber music. Three-week preparatory sessions are added to the Spring Festival.
2000 In recognition of the expanded scope of its quality chamber music program, the organization adopts a new official name: The Chamber Music Connection, Inc.
1999 The Summer Festival moves to St. John's Episcopal Church, Worthington. The Delaware Chamber Music Festival, Inc., goes online with an Internet presence on the World Wide Web. The Gig Program is launched, making student ensembles available to perform both paid and public service engagements.
1998 The two-semester Fall/Winter Chamber Music Connection program is inaugurated in Worthington, with sessions being held on the campus of St. John's Episcopal Church, Worthington.
1997 Plans to expand the Delaware Chamber Music Festival to a four-semester program begin to form.
1996 An Amateur Chamber Music Players grant helps sponsor the Spring Festival.
1995 The Delaware Chamber Music Festival is incorporated. The Summer Festival moves to Josephinum Theological Seminary. A young trio of the Delaware Chamber Music Festival wins Honorable Mention at the very first Ohio Orchestra & String Teachers Association chamber music competition.
1994 The Spring Weekend Festival celebrates its first series with the entire Cavani String Quartet, receiving an Ohio Arts Council grant to help sponsor the quartet. The Summer Festival is condensed to an intensive one-week seminar and is held at St. Mary Church, Delaware.
1993 The spring weekend festival is added to the Delaware Chamber Music Festival program with performance and teaching with Cavani String Quartet members Annie Fullard and Merry Peckham, along with Marcia Ferritto.
1992 The Delaware Chamber Music Festival is founded by Deborah Price, Artistic Director, at the urging of Delaware natives Erika Eckert, founding member of the Cavani String Quartet, and Amy Eckert, Erika's mom and respected string teacher. The two-week long summer program, structured around the study of chamber music, finds its first home on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
