Prog4 The Adult Chamber Music Program is a non-audition program that organizes opportunities for adult musicians from various backgrounds to play chamber music. It is ideal for adult amateur musicians who are seeking playing opportunities, or for music teachers who wish to reconnect with their own musical education and rejuvenate their teaching. Adult students are welcome to register for any CMC program.
Prog5 The Jazz Institute opens the musician’s “toolbox” through an understanding of intervals, scales, and harmony. Knowing “how music works” leads to a deeper interpretation of written music, and opens the door to creating your own music. Learn step-by-step musical tools and practical tips to improvising immediately, applicable to any musical style.
Prog6 CMC student ensembles perform pre-concert entertainment, welcoming arriving audiences to Chamber Music Columbus-hosted performances at the Southern Theatre. Chamber Music Columbus generously provides free tickets to these students, allowing them to hear outstanding world class artists in live performance. The collaboration further includes bringing CMC student ensembles and touring artists together in master classes, workshops, and performances.
