Mary Kay Ferguson founded Panoramicos, a prize winning Mixed Chamber Ensemble whose recordings have been hailed as... "A Top Pick of North America"... "Eclectic in the best sense of the word..." by Gramophone Magazine, "...chamber ensemble of wizardly Cleveland Musicians", Cleveland Plain Dealer. Panoramicos has been the Ensemble in Residence at Historic St. Peter Church since 2005, and was recently invited to be Ensemble in Residence at Case Western Reserve University. She has risen to national prominence as a versatile flutist who has performed with the Chicago Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, and Kansas City Symphony, Cleveland Opera, Toledo Symphony and the Cleveland Orchestra. She has been a featured soloist at Severance Hall, with the New Hampshire Music Festival, and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. She was a prize winner in the National Flute Association's Piccolo Artist Competition and the Tuesday Musical Club Competition. Ms. Ferguson coaches Chamber Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University, her Flute and Piccolo students include many competition winners, and highly distinguished performers. She founded the Greater Cleveland Flute Society, has commissioned, premiered, and recorded many new solo and chamber works for Flute, Piccolo, and Alto Flute. She can be heard on recordings by Polyhymnia, Hyperion, Azica, TelArc, and Albany Records. |
